BISHOP ASAJU CALLS ON GOVERNMENT TO RETURN EPISCOPAL SCHOOLS TO CHURCHES

The Bishop of Ilesa, Rt. Rev Dapo Asaju has advised the Government to return mission schools back to churches.

The Rt. Rev. Dapo Asaju stated this while delivering his charge at the third session of the sixteenth synod of the Diocese of Ilesa, Anglican communion which held in May 2022 at the Cathedral.

Bishop Asaju expressed disappointment over the level of decadence in public schools stating that “it was high time the Missionaries took over to rebirth morals.”

He charged the congregation to make soul winning and evangelism priority.

The Chancellor of Ilesa Diocese, Chief Felix Fagbohunghe who adopted the charge remarked that the diocese is always lucky to have intelligent Bishops right from the days of Bishop Falope.

He commended the Bishop for delivering a charge that shows indepth knowledge and vast experience.

In attendance were former Bishops of the diocese, Bishops, Provost, Traditional rulers, Clergy and Laity.
