While preaching in the service, The Lord Bishop of Iléṣà Diocese and the Bishop Theologian of the Church of Nigeria, The Rt. Rev. Prof. Dapo Aṣaju titled his sermon, The Benefits of Godly Mothers. The Bishop charged mothers to be submissive to their husbands and also influence their children to do good like Hannah did when she dedicated her son to the Lord.

He charged mothers with the Hymn, “God Give Us Christian Homes” and urged every mother to make sure that the family altar is rebuilt and the face of God is sought in every home.

Not less than twenty (20) mothers were enrolled into the the Mothers’ Union by the Lord Bishop. The President of Women’s Organisation, Barrister Mrs Harriet ‘Seun Asaju, Chief Mrs Deborah Farayibi and Chief Mrs Ajakaiye all prayed for the newly enrolled Mothers’ Union Members.

The Invited Couples; Mr and Mrs Iyiola Babatunde, Mr and Mrs Oladeji Bukola Samuel and Mr and Mrs Abiodun Oyedun were also honoured in the service.
