The Diocese of Ilesa belongs to the Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion. The Anglican Church is Apostolic, Charismatic, Pentecostal and Orthodox. We believe in the salvation work of Jesus Christ wrought on the cross of Calvary, so that a man must be born again: that is, turn from a life of sin and unrighteousness to embrace the only savior, Jesus Christ as his/her Lord. This is because Jesus loves everyone so much that He desires to give them Victory in whatsoever life situations they may be going through. But they first must believe in him!

  • We also believe Bible is the final authority on all issues of life and Godliness, a manual which God has given us to navigate life through the murky waters of the world, and there is no issue of life that cannot be resolved by it
  • We believe in the reality of heaven and hell as the final and eternal home of the righteous and the wicked, with eternal living with God in heaven and eternal separation from him respectively
  • We believe in the baptism of water, but much more in the baptism of Holy Spirit for the believer who had been born again, with the evidence of speaking and praying in other tongues for the edifying of the believers and that of the Church as taught by Apostle Paul in I Corinthians 14
  • We believe in a Christian living a life of Holiness and Purity, as a lifestyle here on earth, and a pre-requisite for making Heaven and therefore not a choice
  • We also teach and believe in practical Christianity, as a lifestyle for which all believers could impact their fellow men, colleague, friends, families and acquaintances thereby leaving the world better that we met it
