Ilesa Diocese holds Service of Rededication and Renewal of Licenses of Clergy

The Lord Bishop of Ilesa Diocese, Anglican Communion, The Rt Rev Prof Emmanuel Oladapo Asaju led the clergies of the Diocese in an Eucharistic Service of Rededication and Renewal of Licenses today, Monday 29th August, 2022 at the Cathedral Church of St John’s, Iloro, Ilesa

The Service started with the opening Hymn; Onward Christian Soldiers. The Old Testament Reading (Job 12 : 1- 6, 13 – 25) was read Rev M. O. Titilayo, The Epistle (Acts 11: 19 – 30) by Rev A. O. Folarin and The Gospel by Rev Ibitoye.


The Bishop while delivering his sermon, charged the priests to always put themselves under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. He said no one knows it all and prayed that may all the clergy experience the supernatural power of God.He further charged them to:
* Return to the Lord and restore themselves
* Retrain themselves and go for higher Spiritual exposure
* Listen to messages that will help them spiritually
* Revive themselves
* Pray that God will give them power for miracle
* Develop a very strong devotion and prayer life
* Live in holiness
* Look for the lost members of the church
* Be respectful
* Pursue financial stability
* Get the youth committed
* Be a soul winner
* Be a caring and visiting Pastor
* Work hard
* Finish well.After the sermon, was the presentation of Licenses to all the clergies by the Bishop.

The Bishop appreciated everyone I’m attendance and the service was closed with the Hymn; “It pays to serve Jesus I speak from my heart”

There were 59 Priests, 6 Deacons and 5 Evangelists in attendance.
